I Ching · Hexagram 1
Qián: The Creative
Six unbroken lines make Qian pure yang: the energy that starts things and keeps them moving. It asks you to act from purpose rather than impulse, and to keep going steadily, the way the sky keeps turning.

Changing lines
When you cast this hexagram, any changing line is turning into its opposite: yang into yin, or yin into yang. Changing them gives a second hexagram that suggests where things are heading. Hexagram meanings are a starting point for reflection, not predictions.
