About Phyra
Phyra is a space on the web to pause and reflect with tarot and the I Ching: ask a question, draw one or three cards or cast a hexagram with three coins, then keep what you noticed in a journal. Phyra is built and run in Vietnam, in Vietnamese and English.
How the reference content is written
The meanings of the 78 tarot cards and 64 I Ching hexagrams on Phyra are Phyra's own text. The tarot pages follow the common structure of the 78-card deck: 22 Major Arcana and the four suits of Wands, Cups, Swords and Pentacles, each card with an upright meaning, a reversed meaning and an element. The I Ching pages follow the traditional order of the 64 hexagrams of the Zhou Yi, with each hexagram's name, upper and lower trigram, keywords and advice.
Drafts are written with the help of AI tools, then edited and checked against the source data before they are published. Hexagram names, line patterns and trigrams are checked automatically against the data the app uses to cast readings, so the library and your readings always agree.
We write to open questions rather than close them: each meaning is a prompt to look at your own situation, not a statement about your future.
The card art
The Phyra Classic deck is 78 illustrations made for Phyra in one consistent style: night blue, gold line work and an arched frame. They are not copied from any publisher's deck. The Celestial deck is a separately illustrated deck, coming soon for Phyra VIP members.
Where AI is used
Cards and hexagrams are chosen at random by computer. When you ask for one, the interpretation of your reading is generated by a language model through Cloudflare Workers AI, from your question, theme and cards or hexagram. No person reads each answer before you see it, so an interpretation can be wrong or unsuited to your situation.
What a reading can and cannot do
Phyra is for adults (18+), for reflection and entertainment. A reading does not predict the future and does not replace medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. Your decisions, and the responsibility for them, stay yours.
Free and paid
Drawing cards, casting hexagrams, the Classic deck, the reference library and your journal are free. Every account gets a few free AI interpretations each day. A 30-day membership adds more interpretations and more questions to the AI Guide; prices are listed on the membership page and in the terms of use.

If a meaning looks wrong, unclear or incomplete, email us with the page link. We read every message and correct the content where there is reason to. Phyra is not affiliated with any deck publisher, brand or other organisation.
